[xii], 358pp, [i]; [vi], 347pp. Illustrated with twenty (of twenty-one) engraved plates after designs by Ellis, lacks folding map and one plate (View of the Huts and a Boat-house at O’Whyhee). Contemporary full calf (sheepskin?), spine lettered and decorated in gilt, boards stamped in blind, top edge stained black, marbled endleaves. Forbes 49; Hill p 95; Kropelien 400; Sabin 22333. 

Spine lightly sunned and rubbed, with signs of repair at joints; boards rubbed and soiled, with small burn mark to rear cover; hinges lightly starting after free endleaves; light scattered foxing, occasional soiling throughout; slight chipping to some plates; ink ownership signature to front free endpaper.
