Album/Scrapbook Commemorating the Coronation of King George and Queen Mary, 22nd June, 1911. Compiled by the Hon. Katherine Anna Liddell (Daughter of Arthur Liddell, 5th Baron of Ravensworth).
Oblong quarto. Comprised of eleven leaves filled with photos and photo postcards detailing the 1911 Coronation of King George and Queen Mary. Publisher’s red half roan over hardcover paper boards, stamped in gilt to front cover, card pouches to pastedowns containing additional ephemera and detailed manuscript descriptive notes written and signed by Liddell. Occasional ink inscriptions to leaf margins.
A fascinating and detailed personal perspective on an historic Royal event.
Extremities rubbed and edgeworn, with slight loss to spine ends; interior leaves toned and wrinkled, with occasional dampstaining; light toning, creasing to ephemeral items; some tearing, separation to printed coronation documents. Very good. JJA-551. Item #551Price: $750.00
