Octavo. vi, [vii-viii, section title], 9-316 pp. Illustrations in the text, some full page. Quarter modern dark red crushed morocco over red cloth boards, lettered in gilt and ruled in black, top edge with original stain, endpapers renewed.

Binding is in about fine condition, top edge stain slightly discolored, sheets slightly toned and with occasional light foxing. Some spots of soiling and thumb smudges, some corners once folded over, closed 1.75 inch tear to the bottom edge of pages 95/96 now strengthened with tissue, small paper flaw in the fore-edge margin of pages 167/168. Still, with these faults, an attractive very good copy. KWH-662. Item #662
