One of the few anthologies to include the work of Fitz Hugh Ludlow. First appearance on book form of a story Ludlow wrote for Harper’s Monthly in 1860. Apart from his poem “Too Late”, very few writings of the author of The Haseesh Eater have been anthologized. Eight authors, including Dickens and Trollope, are present here.
